This 4 week course is for people who are feeling stressed and want to learn practical ways of managing that stress. You will learn what stress is, why we have it, what we can do about it and how to manage it, how to control anxious thoughts, how to relax and how to change anxiety related behaviours. You will also learn about panic attacks, low mood and anxiety. The course is run much like an evening class, where the chairs face the front and the people at the front teach you all about stress. It is not group therapy, we will not sit in a circle and you will not be expected to discuss your personal problems. No one will expect you to talk during the class, although you are welcome to ask questions. You can bring a friend or family member to this course if you wish.
