Important Notice: Talking Helps Newcastle response to COVID-19 (coronavirus).

Please read before contacting us.
With effect from 17th January 2022

Talking Helps Newcastle are continuing to follow government and NHS guidelines aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 as far as possible. This means that we are currently unable to routinely offer face-to-face appointments or group treatments.  We are offering all appointments by telephone or video link and we have found that this is working very well for most people.

We understand that this may be frustrating and not what you expected. We are doing this to help contain the further spread of COVID-19.  It will also help us to safeguard the vulnerable populations we work with. We are currently working to increase the number of face-to-face appointments we can offer.

For up to date information about Covid-19 we recommend that you contact the following sources:

We are currently working with the following processes:

Individual Therapy:

  • We are not routinely offering face to face sessions.
  • Where possible we are continuing to provide therapy through telephone appointments or video link and using digital resources.
  • When you reach the top of the waiting list, we will contact you to arrange your first appointment. This will always be by telephone.
  • At your first appointment, you may be able to discuss whether therapy by video is best for you.
